God wants you to take part in fulfilling his dream, he has designed you enjoy being evangelistic. God invites you into evangelistic moments to transform peopleโ€™s lives.

Here are three ways to get you started:

We have all been โ€œfearfully and wonderfully madeโ€ (Psalm 139:14). God has not made anyone like you, there will never be another person like you. Your combination of the way you look, personality, gifts, and abilities make you unique.

Part of Godโ€™s salvation plan is putting Christ in us so that he is revealed to unbelievers around us (Galatians 1:15-16). God has wired every believer with an inherent ability to share the gospel. You uniquely demonstrate something of Godโ€™s love and character in a way that no one else can.

Being evangelistic is part of your identity; you will express this differently to how other people do. Your evangelistic strength will be linked to your other strengths; it is not separate from the rest of you. In fact, it is integrated into your core being alongside that which makes you โ€˜youโ€™.

Why not ask him now how he has uniquely designed you to be evangelistic?

Godโ€™s desire is to set us free from anything that stops us from being the people God designed us to be. This includes being set free from any bad experiences about evangelism, feeling self-conscious, and fear of man.

If you are struggling with evangelism, then there are God-provided truths and answers. God did not design evangelism to be something you would struggle with. God wants to set you free so that you can enjoy being evangelistic and confidently engage in evangelistic moments.

You can be evangelistic and do evangelism without fear. We donโ€™t have to do evangelism through gritted teeth and suppressing unhelpful emotions. His presence and his love can abide in us, so there is no room for fear (1 John 4:18).

Why not ask God to set you free from any previous negative experiences of evangelism?

Evangelism in the Bible is usually initiated by God. The early believers are invited by God into what he is already doing in the lives of unbelievers. God wants to open your eyes to see the evangelistic harvest all around you and invite you into evangelistic moments.

One of the reasons some Christians may find evangelism difficult is that they may have been taught evangelistic methods that do not rely on the Holy Spirit. When we engage with what the Holy Spirit is already doing, evangelism is different, it goes up a level.

To reveal the king and his kingdom requires his supernatural power. This is how God has designed evangelism to be, it was never meant to be just words and clever-sounding arguments. If we want to fully represent Jesus to unbelievers, it is best done supernaturally.

Why not ask God now to invite you into evangelistic moments?
